Dr. Cerynik is one of the inventors of the Stabiliz hybrid metal/polymer screw technology and is one of the company’s founders. He has served as Chief Executive Officer since the company’s inception in 2009. Dr. Cerynik formerly served as the Director of Orthopedic Research, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Drexel University College of Medicine where he established the department’s research program, enabling up to $250,000 per year in research activity and safeguarding the college’s ACGME accreditation – an imperative for a residency program. He has authored over 25 peer-reviewed papers, holds 3 patents, and has experience in grant writing, medical device development, intellectual property protection, and FDA regulations govern-ing 510(k) and post-market surveillance of medical devices. Additionally, Dr. Cerynik founded and continues to run non-profit organization, PFOA, supporting orthopedic resident education and research activities for 15 years.
